Caring for someone who has complex needs can be very challenging and the risk of carer burnout is high. As part of our capacity-building intervention, The Do Network collaborates with other providers to run carer training for staff and/or family members. We equip carers for demanding tasks, both physical and behavioural, and also to care for themselves in the process.

The Do Network also offers short presentations to volunteer organisations, including groups of caregivers. These informal sessions help to spread the word about our functional cognition methodology and broaden perceptions about human 'ability'.
