Sahitya Arugonda
Allied Health Assistant
Sahitya is currently in her third year of Occupational Therapy at the University of Queensland and will graduate in 2024. She has lived in the Logan area for over 12 years and previously came from a country centre. As part of the team she works mainly in the Logan area.
Sahitya joined The Do Network as an allied health assistant at the end of 2021 in her first year of occupational therapy. During this time, she has worked with a range of clients of all ages and backgrounds, supporting therapists as part of the care team.
With a particular interest in paediatrics, Sahitya likes to do things outside of The Do Network to enhance her skills, including volunteering at the Beenleigh Special School.
Sahitya comes from Indian heritage, influencing her passion to make therapy an inclusive space for people of all backgrounds and ensuring practices are culturally appropriate. When working with clients, Sahitya facilitates this by using a collaborative approach. She works closely with the clients and their family to ensure the practice is suitable and engaging for them.
